Store
A Royal Gala apple has a shelf life of approximately 2 weeks after purchase. Store apples in a cool, dark place. Preferably in the fridge, then they will keep for up to 4 weeks. Apples on the fruit bowl quickly become overripe and because they produce a lot of ethylene, they also adversely affect the rest of the fruit on the fruit bowl.
